This Refund Policy explains our position on refunds, cancellations, and billing disputes for all ChatBridge subscription plans and usage-based charges. Please read it carefully before subscribing. By purchasing a plan or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Policy.
Key points
All fees paid to ChatBridge — including subscription charges, WhatsApp conversation charges, and any other payments — are non-refundable except as expressly stated in this Policy or required by applicable law.
This applies regardless of whether you used the Service during the billing period, whether you downgraded your plan, or whether you decided the Service was not right for you. We encourage you to evaluate ChatBridge thoroughly before subscribing and to take advantage of the 14-day trial period to confirm the platform fits your needs.
Subscription charges cover your access to the ChatBridge platform for a fixed billing period (monthly, depending on your chosen plan). These charges are billed in advance and are non-refundable once the billing period has begun.
Monthly plans
You are billed at the start of each monthly period. If you cancel partway through a month, you retain access until the end of that period but no refund is issued for the unused portion.
Plan upgrades
When you upgrade to a higher plan mid-cycle, you are charged the prorated difference for the remainder of the current billing period. This charge is non-refundable.
Plan downgrades
Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period. No refund or credit is issued for the difference in price for the current period.
14-day free trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. Your card is saved at sign-up but you will not be charged until the trial ends. Cancel any time during the trial period to avoid being billed.
WhatsApp conversation charges are usage-based fees applied for messaging activity routed through the WhatsApp Business API. These charges are determined by Meta and passed through to you at cost.
Because these charges are incurred in real time as conversations occur, they are strictly non-refundable. This includes charges for:
For questions about specific conversation charges that appear incorrect, contact us at chatbridge@algosmiths.com with your account details and the relevant date range. We will investigate and clarify the charges, but a refund is not guaranteed.
Important: Quota forfeiture on account closure
Upon cancellation, termination, or closure of your account for any reason, any remaining API call quota associated with your ChatBridge account will be permanently forfeited and is non-recoverable. No refund or compensation will be provided for unused quota.
Each ChatBridge plan includes a monthly API call quota (Standard: 1,000 calls/mo; Premium: 5,000 calls/mo). This quota covers outbound API requests made through the platform and resets at the start of each billing period.
Unused quota at the end of a billing period does not roll over to the next period and is not refundable.
We strongly recommend monitoring your usage to ensure you are on the right plan before your billing date.
By subscribing to a paid ChatBridge plan, you authorize us to charge your designated payment method automatically on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Customers in India (e-mandate)
By choosing a paid subscription plan, you acknowledge that an e-mandate will be enabled on your card. You will be auto-debited for subscription charges and WhatsApp conversation charges incurred through the last day of your billing period. The e-mandate is set up in accordance with RBI guidelines via Razorpay.
Customers outside India (recurring charge)
Recurring charges will be applied to your payment method at the start of each billing period as per your plan, until you cancel. Charges will continue even if you do not actively use the platform, until you explicitly cancel your subscription.
If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and may suspend your account until payment is successfully collected. You are responsible for keeping your payment method up to date.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation must be completed before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the next period.
Steps to cancel:
After cancellation, your subscription remains active through the end of the current paid period. You will not be charged again after that date. If you do not cancel and are charged for the next period, no refund will be issued for that charge.
If you are unable to cancel via Settings, contact us at chatbridge@algosmiths.com at least 48 hours before your next renewal date and we will assist you.
While our general policy is non-refundable, we may, at our sole discretion, consider a refund or credit in the following limited circumstances:
Verified billing error
If you were charged an incorrect amount due to a technical error on our part (e.g. double-billed, charged the wrong plan rate), we will investigate and issue a correction.
Extended service outage
If ChatBridge experiences a verified, sustained outage that made the Service materially unusable for a significant portion of your billing period, we may issue a pro-rated service credit at our discretion.
Unauthorized transaction
If you believe your account was used and charged without your authorization, contact us immediately. We will investigate and, where the unauthorized use is confirmed, take appropriate action.
Applicable statutory rights
Nothing in this Policy limits any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection or other laws in your jurisdiction. Where such rights apply, we will honor them.
Requests for discretionary refunds must be submitted to chatbridge@algosmiths.com within 14 days of the charge in question. ChatBridge reserves the right to decline refund requests that do not meet the above criteria.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at chatbridge@algosmiths.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We are committed to resolving billing issues fairly and promptly.
Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your account. If a chargeback is filed and subsequently found to be unwarranted, you will be responsible for the original charge plus any associated processing fees.
We will provide all necessary documentation to your payment provider to contest chargebacks that we believe are incorrect.
ChatBridge reserves the right to change its subscription prices, plan features, and usage-based rates at any time. We will notify existing subscribers of material price changes with reasonable advance notice — typically at least 30 days — via email or an in-app notification.
Your continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes your agreement to pay the updated price. If you do not agree to a price change, you must cancel your subscription before the change takes effect to avoid being charged at the new rate.
